1Addicts.com member "BigLare" has been keeping members up to date with the progress of his BMW 1M. The hype surrounding the car since its launch has proved to be more than true and we are always excited to see when people start modifying brand new models.
The car comes from the factory with a 335 horsepower twin-turbo charged six-cylinder that creates a perfect platform for modification and tuning. Larry's first step was to give the car slightly more power by adding an Eisenmann exhaust system and an ESS Stage 1 Tune. The ride height on the stock 1M was a little too high for his taste so he got in touch with the folks at IND and ordered a set of KW V3 coilovers to get the ride height to fit properly with the new wheels.
Our P40S line is the latest sports car wheel in our monoblok line-up and look fitting on just about any BMW model. Larry took a liking to the P43S in particular and decided on a 19" set (9.5" front and 10.5" rear) in a brushed clear finish wrapped in a set of Toyo Tires. The sizing is perfect and the wheels compliment the color of the car quite nicely along with still saving weight over the stock setup.
Like most car enthusiasts, Larry has even more plans for the car in the near future and has been thoroughly enjoying the current set-up at track days all over Southern California. We look forward to seeing what he does next.
