Every year, HRE Wheels brings out a huge team and a stable of incredible cars to The SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. 2014 marked the biggest SEMA event yet and the HRE exhibit did not disappoint.
New wheel launches are a big part of our display at SEMA, but the real stars of the show are the vehicles wearing them. This year's booth featured a Porsche 991 GT3 on the new Classic Series 300 and Monoblok P106.
The new Lamborghini Huracán on the three-piece S101 and Classic 305M and the centerpiece, a rare Porsche 918 Spyder, equipped with a one-off set of center lock Vintage 501M and the fan favorite P101.
Last year's Ringbrothers SEMA unveil, "Blizzard", was also amongst the HRE booth cars. The 700hp 1965 Ford Mustang featured the HRE Ringbrothers Recoil wheels in Satin Charcoal and a set of RS100 in Brushed Titanium.
Car builders are the people that make SEMA such an attraction and nobody does a better job at creating stunning works of automotive art than the Ringbrothers who unveiled a 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle, nicknamed "Recoil".
Powered by a 980-horsepower Wegner Motosports LS7, the Chevelle featured a set of the all-new Ringbrothers "Recoil" wheels and deservedly grabbed this year's GM Design Award and top honors as GM's "GM of the Show".
The Ringbrothers "Recoil" forged wheel is now available from HRE.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. has been part of the HRE Wheels family for almost 10 years and this year we were proud to announce our partnership with Gittin by introducing his new RTR signature wheels for the Ford Mustang.
The new RTR series features two new forged wheel models designed specifically for modern Ford Mustangs, “Tech Mesh” Monoblok and the “Tech-7” three-piece.
The HRE FlowForm line has grown in popularity since the launch of the FF01 wheel in 2013. Last week, we unveiled the new FF15 multi-spoke, expanding on the options for our more budget-conscious buyers. The FlowForm FF15 and FF01 are created using a high-tech low-pressure cast flow-forming process providing a level of precision, strength and attention to detail expected of an HRE.
The multi-spoke FF15 comes in ready-to-mount sizes for specific makes and models. The wheels are all engineered and tested to the same standards of HRE’s forged products and carry TUV certification for sale in Europe and JWL/VIA certification for sale in Japan. Cortex Racing honored the FlowForm booth by showing off its equipped 2015 Ford Mustang, this year's SEMA "Car of the Show".
On the motorsports side, we launched a replacement for our R40 series named the Series R1. The Series R1 is a product of years of testing on the outgoing R43 wheel with teams like Fall-Line Motorsports and Rum Bum Racing in the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge (CTSCC) series, a wheel that led both teams to championships 4 out of the last 5 years, most recently helping Fall-Line to capture the driver, team and manufacturer title in the GS category for the 2014 CTSCC season.
The new Series R1 line debuts with a single style with design cues from the most intricate HRE street wheels, engineered for optimal performance on any track machine, such as the Porsche 911 GT3. The R1 is available in diameters ranging from 17 to 19 inches and widths range from 8 to 13 inches, along with center lock applications.
Amidst all of the exotic and performance cars at SEMA 2014, HRE Wheels introduced the Series TR1 for trucks, SUVs and large sedans.
The Series TR1 includes the TR105, TR106, TR107 and TR109 in diameters ranging from 20" to 23", in 5- and 6-lug configurations and higher load ratings.
We'd like to thank all of our industry partners, customers, dealers and the 40+ vehicles that featured HRE wheels this year at SEMA. And to all of our fans, we wouldn't be the brand we are today without your continued support. Thank you.
See you at SEMA 2015!
