Once every summer ESPN brings the most intense action sports event in the country to Southern California and this year HRE Wheels had a major presence both on and off the track. Several vehicles in the hugely popular new rally cross racing event roll on HRE Wheels, while artists created unique sculptures using HRE wheels in the pits at the BF Goodrich booth and two of the X-Games’ most prolific stars showed up for competition in HRE equipped Porsches.
On Saturday July 30, rally cross fans hit the streets of downtown Los Angeles to see their favorite drivers including Rhys Millen and Red Bull rookie driver Robbie Maddison pilot RMR Hyundai Velosters wearing HRE R43 Wheels. Rock Star driver and Top Gear U.S. host Tanner Foust drove to the X-Games in his HRE C93 equipped Porsche 911, and pro skater Bucky Lasek – who took Bronze in the Skateboard Vert Final – drives an HRE C90 equipped 911 Turbo.
In between the high flying, dirt-flinging rally action, spectators made their way to the BF Goodrich booth at XFest to gawk at a stunning custom Galpin Auto Sports built Ford Mustang GT fitted with a set of HRE 791R wheels. A few paces away, BF Goodrich Tire artisans were onsite hand carving a special edition X Games BF Goodrich tire. Logos of X Games sponsors including BF Goodrich, Ford, The Navy, Casio, Mobil 1, Shark Week and HRE Wheels were carved into the special edition tires mounted on HRE Wheels.

Other wheel companies like to talk about being cool and extreme, at HRE we prefer to prove it.”
