The annual HRE Wheels Open House is one of the largest gatherings of high-end sports cars, luxury cars and supercars in Southern California. The main goal of this show to is to fundraise for the Motor4Toys charity that collects toys for kids in need around the holidays. Every year, the selection of vehicles gets more diverse and offers visitors a chance to see cars they've only seen in video games or on the internet.
This year's HRE Open House kicked off with a familiar voice over the PA, that of The Smoking Tire's Matt Farah, announcing factory tours, wheel giveaways and more. Along with being the event's emcee, Matt also brought along his widebody Fox Mustang equipped with HRE RS105s. The Open House is an opportunity for fans, customers and dealers to see the ins and outs of HRE's bespoke wheel making operation and hear from HRE President, Alan Peltier, about what it takes to engineer forged wheels that are lightweight, strong, but also gorgeous.
Three amazing hypercars graced the show this year including the 1030 horsepower Koenigsegg Agera R in the Michelin booth, the ultra-rare McLaren P1 GTR and a LaFerrari wearing a one-off set of HRE's RS307M, a wheel series that was unveiled at this years' event. Other rarities included the 911 reimagined by Singer, the Ice Charger from the Fast and Furious franchise, bespoke Pro-Touring machines like the SpeedKore Performance carbon-fiber "Tantrum" Charger and even JDM legends like the R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R.
The raffle this year raised over $10,000 dollars that will all be used to purchase toys for the Motor4Toys drive in December and over 400 modified vehicles graced the parking lots surrounding the facility. HRE would like to thank all of the attendees, members of the media and most importantly, the HRE staff, because without them, HRE wouldn't be the company it is today.
