Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca proved a difficult track for all teams involved, more so for the leader in the team standings, Rum Bum Racing, who missed out on a top-10 finish as a result of engine malfunction due to a serpentine belt failure in their #14 Porsche 997 on HRE Forged wheels.
Nevertheless, Luis Bacardi and company have now placed themselves ever closer to securing yet another Grand-AM championship – following up to their CTSCC conquest, last year.
Also competing this past weekend were the three HRE-equipped BMW M3s of Fall-Line Motorsports, which, unfortunately, did not fare so well in qualifying at Laguna Seca, placing 7th, 14th and 16th. However, despite the poor qualifying result, the #48 BMW M3, driven by 17-year old racing sensation Trent Hindman and Charles Espenlaub, pulled out a 3rd-place podium finish.
HRE Wheels would like to congratulate both teams on their efforts this past weekend at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
